The NASA - JAXA Hinode Solar Mission will be able to observe the May 20 Eclipse from space this coming weekend. The resulting pictures and images will be made available to the public. I can hardly wait to see them.
This is the only space based solar observatory that will be able to see the eclipse as the orbits of all the other spacecraft will not provide the necessary orbit to see the eclipse. This will make the Hinode pics and data all the more valuable.
