The photo was taken from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter's (MRO) HIRISE canera. You can see the landing area on the left where the red dust of Mars was blasted away. The rover's tracks can be seen leading to Curiosity herself, the bright blue spot. Read More About It:
