Our Star Has A Tail Of Its' Own

Astronomers have found stars that have tails that trail behind them.

Now it has been confirmed that our star and solar system does as well. It has also been determined that the tail is shaped like a four leaf clover. The findings are the result of the Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) spacecraft.

IBEX was launched by NASA to learn more about the outer boundary of the solar system - the edge of where the Sun's presence is felt and then gives way to true interstellar space. Many new discoveries have resulted since IBEX launched in 2008. More are expected to come.
