A hundred years ago we did not know that other galaxies than our own Milky Way existed. Hard to believe, but true.

We are on the threshold of learning more about the formation of the very first galaxies to form in  the Universe thanks to James Webb Space Telescope. We are also going to find out there are a lot more galaxies in the Universe than we currently know of.
