Hey, Space Placers!

A newly discovered asteroid is headed our way with a current 1-83 chance of hitting the planet. It is twice the size of the Chelyabinsk asteroid and about the size of the Tunguska impactor, which would cause destruction of the local area upon impact.
Astronomers will obtain more observations so that they can refine the asteroid's orbit and resulting chances of impact. It will possibly take years to obtain more observations as the asteroid is getting dimmer and moving into an area in the sky where it cannot be observed for three years.
